
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has invested 2 million nairas ($5,500) in a blockchain business called ‘Wicrypt’, according to Yahoo Finance website.
Subscribers can make money through sharing their mobile data on WiCrypt.
To register on the platform, users should download the Wicrypt app. Accordingly, subscribers can deposit funds into their wallet, through using bank accounts or card payments.
Subscribers can also deposit with some cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. They can also search for available WiFi hotspots from the app and then connect.
Ugochukwu Aronu, WiCrypt founder, said, “The startup will help Nigerians earn money online through using and sharing their mobile data.”
