Nervos Network, the blockchain project created by prominent names in the sector , is planning to provide $30 million in grant to projects that target building a decentralized community on an open-source blockchain.
The grants program will be primarily focused on infrastructure development, such as client protocols, IDE, cross-chain interoperability, smart contract language and tooling, and UDT-related ecosystem support.
It will be aimed to help advance the development of the ecosystem surrounding the project’s permissionless layer one blockchain called the Nervos Common Knowledge Base (CKB).
Nervos team will study all applications to be received from individuals and experienced projects and will make feedback from the process viewable to the public.
Kevin Wang, Co-Founder of Nervos, commented:
“We believe that building a truly decentralized network requires the contributions and efforts of the entire blockchain community. As a bootstrapped, fully open source network, we want to empower anyone who shares a common vision to help build Nervos into a public resource for the decentralized economy.”
The top official also said the fund will pay developers in the combination of cash and CKByte tokens.
Last November, Nervos announced that developers and miners would be able to participate and utilize its network on the same month, with fresh backing from China Merchants Bank International (CMBI), Polychain Capital, Blockchain Capital, Hashkey, MultiCoin and Distributed Global.
