Blockstream, a blockchain technology company based in Canada, announced that BTCPay Server, an open-source payment processor, integrated the Liquid Network into its software suite.
“Now, merchants using BTCPay can easily allow their customers to leverage the Liquid Network for payments,” the company said on its website.
“This means confidential and fast settlement in Liquid Bitcoin (L-BTC) and other assets issued on Liquid such as stablecoins like Liquid Tether (USDt),” it added.
Through the server, merchants can completely control the money they receive without paying fees to brokers, especially as BTCPay is one of the most useful options for traders accepting payments in Bitcoin.
“Customers can benefit from Liquid as well. Confidential Transactions allow customers to transact without worrying merchants or other 3rd parties will see their holdings,” Blockstream said. “Fast two-minute settlement times means customers’ orders are finalized quickly.”
Founded in 2014, Blockstream offers its customers open-source technologies developed to boost the blockchain industry. It managed to raise $90 million from some investors, including Blockchain Capital.
