Brave Browser Integrates Binance Widget to All Desktop Offerings

Brave, a privacy-focused web browser, has integrated the Binance widget throughout all of its desktop offerings into the latest stable release.

According to an announcement, the widget is enabled by default, placing the Binance cryptocurrency exchange in front of all the millions of desktop users on the browser.

Previously the widget was available only for testing in versions Brave Nightly and Beta.

Any user opening a new tab or window in the browser is clearly shown on the right side of the page with the new Binance widget along with the Brave rewards widget.

They are then prompted to connect the widget to their Binance account, and once authenticated they will be able to view their hold assets and trade to the content of their hearts.

As well as a summary of the holdings, users can purchase cryptocurrency, deposit assets to the exchange and convert between any supported assets.

Because the widget is built directly into the browser, it preserves user privacy and communicates only through authenticated user interaction with the Binance API.

Users can disconnect the widget easily, preventing the browser from interacting further with their account unless it passes the authentication process again. Although the widget is enabled by default, it can be hidden manually by those who wish to.

Mobile Versions Will be Available Later in 2020

Today, Brave browser has more than 13.5 million active monthly users across all platforms. For Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems, the Binance widget is currently integrated in all desktop versions of the software.

It will be available for the Android and iOS versions of Brave’s mobile browser later this year.

Cryptolydian reported earlier that, Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao has recommended using Brave browser (BAT), indicating that the browser can help safeguard user privacy online.

Brave, a cryptocurrency-powered internet browser, is one of the fastest-growing browsers in the world.
