Block.One Upgrades Blockchain Software

Block. One, the EOS blockchain developer, has recently upgraded its software to make it faster and securer as planned, the company said on its twitter account.

The firm has released its new version 2.0 that enhances the software’s performance. The updated version also includes WebAuthn support which allows developers to test transaction signing.

The upgrade will also enhance the execution of smart contracts, as it is expected to be 16 times faster than the old version.

“By isolating these processes we have seen significant improvements in transaction processing and block processing performance on multi-producer EOSIO networks,” Block. One wrote in a blog post.

EOSIO is mainly aimed at removing barriers facing new crypto developers. The new version represents an EOSIO Quickstart Web IDE for building EOSIO web applications.

“EOSIO Quickstart Web IDE: A powerful, new, self-contained, web-based integrated development environment for building EOSIO smart contracts and associated web applications,” the company said. “It can be set up in minutes, run in any browser, and helps lower the barrier to entry for new EOSIO blockchain developers.”

Last month, the company has announced amending the resource allocation mechanism related to its blockchain network.
